SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 5 FROM EIGHT MILE ROAD TO STATE ROUTE 12 IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will replace slabs on southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) from Eight Mile Road to State Route (SR-12). Work will occur as follows:

• The #1 (left) and #3 (right) lanes on southbound I-5 from SR-12 to Eight Mile Road will close, alternately, on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.;

• The #1 (left) and #2 (middle) lanes on southbound I-5 from SR-12 to Eight Mile Road will close beginning Sunday, March 27, 2011, through Friday, April 1, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.;

• The off-ramp from southbound I-5 to Eight Mile Road will close Sunday, March 27, 2011, through Friday, April 1, 2011, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.; and

• The southbound connector ramps from I-5 to eastbound and westbound SR-12 will alternately close beginning Sunday, March 27, 2011, through Friday, April 1, 2011, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.

The contractor for this $23 million project is RGW/Vanguard of Livermore, CA.
