EBBETTS PASS (STATE ROUTE 4) AND SONORA PASS (STATE ROUTE 108) TO CLOSE
Alpine and Tuolumne Counties– Due to the forecasted adverse weather conditions, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close State Route 4 over Ebbett’s Pass and State Route 108 over Sonora Pass on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. (noon).
This preemptive closure is necessary to ensure motorists safety during the predicted storms. Maintenance crews will re-evaluate the closure on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Crews will use weather and road conditions to determine if the passes can be reopened for the weekend.
Caltrans would like to thank the public for their understanding and cooperation during this unusual spring storm and will work to get the passes reopened as quickly as they are able.

SONORA PASS (STATE ROUTE 108) OPEN TO KENNEDY MEADOWS
Sonora Pass in Tuolumne County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has removed the snow, cleared the debris and made the necessary repairs to open State Route 108/Sonora Pass to Kennedy Meadows on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 3:00 p.m.
The diligent work of Caltrans crews enabled the opening of this section of the pass in time for the beginning of fishing season on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
Caltrans crews responsible for the road opening extend their best wishes for traveling to those who enjoy the recreational opportunities this part of California has to offer.

State Route 26 from Higdon Road to the Mokelumne River Bridge in Calaveras County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic control on State Route 26 from Higdon Road to the Mokelumne River Bridge.
Work will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, through November 14, 2008, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Crews will be doing road maintenance in this location.
Motorists can expect 15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.
