Roadwork for the week of 6/28/09 – 7/4/09 for San Joaquin County

Interstate 5 at State Route 4 (Crosstown Freeway) in Stockton - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will treat the bridge decks on Interstate 5 (I-5) at State Route 4 (SR-4) (Crosstown Freeway).

Northbound Interstate 5 from State Route 120 to Eighth Street
in San Joaquin County -
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be paving on northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) from State Route 120 (SR-120) to Eighth Street.

State Route 88 from the State Route 12 junction to Disch Road in San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing one-way traffic control on State Route 88 (SR-88) from the SR-12 Junction to Cherry Street from Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 11:00 p.m. until Monday, June 29, 2009, at 5:00 a.m. Crews will also be working from Cherry Street to Disch Road beginning Monday, June 29, 2009 through Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Roadwork for the week of 11/23/08 – 11/29/08 for Stanislaus County

State Route 99 from Carpenter/Briggsmore Roads to the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County Line in Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be replacing slabs on the roadway on State Route 99 (SR-99). All ramp closures will take place alternately. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.

State Route 88 from Pioneer Creek Road to just east of Defender Grade Road in Amador County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic control on State Route 88 from Pioneer Creek Road to just east of Defender Grade Road.

Work will begin on Monday, October 27, 2008, through Friday, October 31, 2008, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Work will begin on Monday, October 27, 2008, through Thursday, October 30, 2008, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Crews will also be working in this location on Friday, October 31, 2008, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

$2500 available for your Slow Mo Video

Beginning May 19, 2008, SlowMoFilms.com invites you to participate in a super slow video contest. All you have to do is create a video using slow motion. Be creative, be unique, just have fun with it!

Approved videos will then be posted on SlowMoFilms.com in the video gallery for viewing.

On 7/28/2008 a panel of judges will select approximately ten (10) finalists based on originality, artistic ability, acting, humor and creative execution of a film which showcases actions in slow motion.

On 8/1/2008 through 8/31/2008, viewers will be able vote for their favorite. The Grand Prize winner will be the finalist who receives the most votes during the voting period. Winner will receive $2,500!

Post your video and help promote safe driving messages as part of Caltrans’ Slow for the Cone Zone campaign.
