San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will replace slabs on Interstate 5 (I-5) from Hammer Lane to State Route (SR-12). Work will occur as follows:
• The #1 (left) and #2 (right) lanes on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to Eight Mile Road will close beginning Sunday, March 6, 2011, through Friday, March 11, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.;
• The #1 (left) and #2 (right) lanes on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to Eight Mile Road will close beginning Monday, March 7, 2011, through Friday, March 11, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.;
• The #1 (left) and #3 (right) lanes on northbound and southbound I-5 from Eight Mile Road to SR-12 will alternately close beginning Monday, March 7, 2011, through Friday, March 11, 2011, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.; and
• The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps from I-5 to SR-12 will alternately close beginning Sunday, March 6, 2011, through Friday, March 11, 2011, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.
The contractor for this $23 million project is RGW/Vanguard of Livermore, CA.
