SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 5 FROM EIGHT MILE ROAD TO STATE ROUTE 12 IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will replace slabs on southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) from Eight Mile Road to State Route (SR-12). Work will occur as follows:

• The #1 (left) and #3 (right) lanes on southbound I-5 from SR-12 to Eight Mile Road will close, alternately, beginning Monday, March 21, 2011, through Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.;

• The #1 (left) and #2 (middle) lanes on southbound I-5 from SR-12 to Eight Mile Road will close beginning Monday, March 21, 2011, through Friday, March 25, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.; and

• The southbound connector ramps from I-5 to eastbound and westbound SR-12 will alternately close beginning Monday, March 21, 2011, through Friday, March 25, 2011, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.

The contractor for this $23 million project is RGW/Vanguard of Livermore, CA.
