STATE ROUTE 99 WHITMORE INTERCHANGE PROJECT IN STANISLAUS COUNTY

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close southbound State Route 99 (SR-99) from the Pine Street overcrossing to Hatch Road in Ceres.

Work will begin on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, through Friday, July 2, 2010, from 11:59 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Crews will work on the falsework for the new interchange.

SR-99 southbound detour is:

• east on Hatch Road;
• south on Herndon Avenue;
• south on Central Avenue;
• south on El Camino Avenue to southbound SR-99.

This full highway closure is necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and workers in the area.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible. This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.

The contractor for this $26 million project is Nehemiah Construction of Benicia, CA. The SR-99 Whitmore Avenue Interchange Project will alleviate peak hour congestion along Whitmore Avenue with a new wider overcrossing/overhead and widen Whitmore Avenue to four lanes from Blaker Road and Central Avenue.

STATE ROUTE 33 IN NEWMAN AND PATTERSON IN STANISLAUS COUNTY

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will work on State Route 33 (SR-33) in Newman and Patterson in Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:

• Crews will perform one-way traffic control from Inyo Street to Jensen Road in Newman, beginning on Monday, June 28, 2010, through Thursday, July 1, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and

• Crews will perform one-way traffic control from Sperry Road to Zacharias Avenue in Patterson, beginning on Monday, June 28, 2010, through Thursday, July 1, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Crews will place pavement markers and stripe the roadway in this location.

Motorists should expect 15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible. This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.

The contractor for this $1.3 million project is Knife River Construction, Stockton, CA.

NORTHBOUND INTERSTATE 5 AT COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD IN STOCKTON

Stockton - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the off-ramp from northbound Interstate 5 to Country Club Boulevard.

Work will occur on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Crews will landscape in this location.

Motorists can expect 5 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

STATE ROUTE 4 FROM THE MIDDLE RIVER BRIDGE TO THE SAN JOAQUIN RIVER BRIDGE IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 4. Work will occur as follows:

• Beginning Sunday, June 27, 2010, through Friday, July 2, 2010, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., crews will place pavement markers and stripe the roadway on the Middle River Bridge and the San Joaquin River Bridge and

• Beginning Monday, June 28, 2010, through Friday, July 2, 2010, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., crews will work on the roadway from the Middle River Bridge to Tracy Boulevard.

Motorists should expect 15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

The contractor for the $6,432,000 road construction project is DeSilva Gates Construction of Livermore, CA. The contractor for the $330,000 bridge deck treatment job is Truesdell Corporation of Tempe, AZ.

Stockton - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will repair guardrail on State Route 4 (SR-4) at Interstate 5 (I-5) beginning Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 9:00 p.m. until Friday, June 18, 2010, at 4:00 a.m. No two consecutive on or off-ramps will be closed at the same time. Work will occur as follows:

• The connector ramp from eastbound SR-4 (Crosstown Freeway) to northbound I-5;

• The connector ramp from westbound SR-4 (Crosstown Freeway) to northbound I-5, and;

• The off-ramp from northbound I-5 to Pershing Avenue.

Motorists can expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
