State Route 99 in Merced County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will alternately close the #1 (left) and #2 (right) lanes on southbound State Route 99 from Athlone Road to the Merced/Madera County Line.
Work will begin on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, through Thursday, March 26, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 99 in Atwater - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will alternately close the #1 (left) and #2 (right) lanes on northbound State Route 99 from the Atwater Boulevard off-ramp to the Atwater Boulevard on-ramp.
Work will occur on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, March 27, 2009, at 5:00 a.m.

Revised - FULL CLOSURE of the John “Chuck” Erreca State Rest Area on Interstate 5 in Merced County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has extended the closure of the John “Chuck” Erreca State Rest Area on northbound and southbound Interstate 5 in Merced County. Because the rest area will be without water, it will be closed and unavailable to motorists and the public during this time.
The closure is extended through Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Crews will be replacing the water filtration system tanks at the water treatment plant on the northbound side of the rest area.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change based on weather conditions.
